Dear Bettye & Phyllis The article on Welsh Banks referred to in West Wales Historical Records is by Francis Green. On Page 155 under The Haverfordwest Bank it states that it was founded by Samuel and Moses Levi. They were befriended by a Mr. Phillips of .... and whose surnamethey afterwards adopted. The article gives details of their descendants and the history of both the banks wwith which they were associated. For further information the West Wales Historical Records are available on CD from the Carmarthenshire FHS who place a restriction on their CDs which be used for other than personal research. I think that you, Bettye, in particular, would find this CD fascinating although you could obtain a photocopy of this article from the Pembrokeshire Record Office. Bye for now Joy
