    3. Dear Ann & Phyllis, Thanks, Ann. This confirms Phyllis's statement that they had a son George born around 1805. What a pity the other children are not named. As Cardigan has been mentioned previously, perhaps their records are to be found in Cardiganshire. I know how difficult it is to read some of these old wills, but I am sure Thomas Makeig was at Parkypratt, St. Dogmaels towards the end of his life, and it is often written as "St. Dogmells" easily mistaken for that other Pemb. area St. Dogwells. Probably because he was ill, Thomas had his doctors sign his will, plus his servant....but, by so doing, he did not do us any favours. I wonder if he is the same Thomas Makeig who married Sarah Stone at Clydey June 13, 1793......Ann next time you visit The Nat. Library..I know it is asking a lot, but could you check this parish register marriage entry and obtain witness names. If Thomas Makeig signed the entry, his signature could be compared with that on the Will, bearing in mind his age difference and possible infirmity. Regards.
