    3. Hi Mel If you start at the Genuki page http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/PEM/Dinas/index.html Use the link under Maps, then on to Dinas X, go to old-maps. The first view is of Dinas X, click on the up arrow a couple of times will bring Brynhenllan hamlet into view, then enlarge the map. I don't see a Brynhenllan farm marked as such, there is a Henllan though. The other route is to have a look at the Tithe maps, nice trip out for you to the Archives tomorrow :-) Gareth List administrator for DYFED, CGN & PEM Genuki Wales http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/ Lookup Exchange http://home.clara.net/tirbach/lookup.html Help Page http://home.clara.net/tirbach/hicks.html . ----- Original Message ----- From: "David&Mel Stark" <[email protected]> To: "Gareth" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2004 3:01 PM Subject: RE: [Dyfed] help wanted! how to find out where someone lived > > Dwelling is BRYNHENLLAN farm in BRYNHENLLAN DINAS CROSS pembs! > > enough of a clue? > thanks > > -----Original Message----- > From: Gareth [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2004 2:39 PM > To: David&Mel Stark; Dyfed > Cc: PEM > Subject: Re: [Dyfed] help wanted! how to find out where someone lived > > > Hi Mel > Give us a clue , go on, which place, which parish ?? :-) > > Gareth > List administrator for DYFED, CGN & PEM > Genuki Wales http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/ > Lookup Exchange http://home.clara.net/tirbach/lookup.html > Help Page http://home.clara.net/tirbach/hicks.html > . > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "David&Mel Stark" <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2004 1:01 PM > Subject: [Dyfed] help wanted! how to find out where someone lived > > > > Dear All > > > > Advice needed! - I have been told that part of my family lived/owned a > > particular property for "generations" - I have gone back 4 generations > from > > me, with evidence of family living in said place, the next generation back > > is a bit more sketchy - I cant seem to find the dwelling named anywhere > just > > the parish! > > > > Where should I be looking - I am talking early- mid 1800's ,.. and have > not > > got the foggiest where to look! > > > > Many many thanks in anticipation, > > > > Mel in Sunny Fishguard! > > > > > > --- > > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > > Version: 6.0.567 / Virus Database: 358 - Release Date: 1/24/04 > > > > > > ==== DYFED Mailing List ==== > > Genuki CMN http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/CMN/ > > > > > > --- > Incoming mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.567 / Virus Database: 358 - Release Date: 1/24/04 > > --- > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.567 / Virus Database: 358 - Release Date: 1/24/04 > >
