    3. Dear Dyfed and Pembrokeshire Listers, Many thanks to those of you who responded so generously to my request for help on behalf Jessie Wagner, a Tasmanian contact who lacks Internet access. I will pass on your messages to her by post and report back to you when/if she replies. Kindest regards, John ---------------------------- John Ball, Ystalyfera, South Wales, UK E-mail: [email protected] Homepage: http://home.clara.net/wfha/ Welsh Family History Archive: http://home.clara.net/wfha/wales/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Ball" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, February 24, 2004 11:06 AM Subject: [Dyfed] LORD family of Pembrokeshire - Help needed Dear Listers, I recently spoke to a Mrs Jessie Wagner from Tasmania (Australia) who is seeking help in tracing a LORD family originally from Pembrokeshire. Mrs Wagner is not on the Internet but can be contacted initially through me. Mrs Wagner says: --------------------- My ancestor Edward LORD was born 1781 in Pembrokeshire, son of Joseph LORD and Corbetta OWEN. Edward came to Tasmania with Collins in 1804 as a Lieutenant, via Victoria (Australia) in 1803. He married in Tasmania. I am interested in tracing his descendants -- his children were taken from Tasmania and educated in England. He also had children to Elizabeth STORER in Kent, England. Of his children, Corbetta LORD married a Major Wallace; Eliza married a MANSEL; Emma married Anguish [sic] DURANT. --------------------- If any lister researching a LORD family of Pembrokeshire recognises this family or is interested in helping, please contact me and I will put you in touch with Mrs Wagner in Tasmania. 3. Dear Pembrokeshire Listers, I thought you'd like to know that I received a phone call this week from Mrs Jessie Wagner in Tasmania. She'd taken delivery of the air-mail package I'd sent her containing printouts of the material I received from various members of the Pembrokeshire List in response to my e-mail (copied below). She was thrilled to have received such a helpful response to her request, and extremely grateful to all who replied. I have no doubt that in due course she will personally thank the individuals concerned.
