Roger, I have found your Benjamin (aged 77) & Elizabeth (aged 80) Priest on the 1881 Census. I also came across another Benjamin (aged 34) and his wife and family, living at 6, The Cottages. The elder Benjamin was a country blacksmith, the younger a colliery blacksmith. I live a mile or two from Broadmoor and pass by these addresses daily. There are still some cottages in Broadmoor. Note that Broadmoor is a hamlet in its own right. The elder family are listed in the 1881 Census two entries away from the 'Cross Inn' a public house, still in business, and standing at the xroads where the A477 (St. Clears to Pembroke Dock road) bisects the village.
