JEMIMA NICHOLAS (1750-1832) is famously associated with Fishguard from the time of the 1797 attempted French invasion. Jemima's historic involvement is described in various books but I am trying to discover more about her life and family background. However, to date I have not been able to find anything published . Could anyone provide information - for example, was Jemima born NICHOLAS or was this her married name. Finally, any mention of children or other family members. Her burial at Fishguard is known and mention of her as a tall stout woman working as a shoemaker is also recorded. However, nothing is published on her family links in the various books and enquire if she has ever featured in any list members family tree. Your suggestions and help would be appreciated. Kenneth
