It includes the marriage of William Crabb (note no "e") and Jane Goodman on the date you have, listing the parish of Pembroke St Mary, which I gather may have covered Pembroke Dock at the time. This index often includes mention of marital status or occupation, but no additional information is included on this occasion, Regards Megan Phelps Sydney, Australia On 30/11/03 7:42 PM, "christine charles" wrote: > HI > > I wonder if anyone has access to & would be prepared to look up a marriage in > Pembroke Dock on > 13th July 1834 between Jane GOODMAN & Wm CRABBE. > > Im particularly interested in Jane's marital status to help solve a mystery > Thankyou so much > Christine in Australia > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo! Usually, if a person is a widow/er, it is shown. My g.g.grandmother was Elizabeth George, b. c. 1832 Dinas Cross, Pembs. Father, William George, farmer. She married Levi Harries, Master Mariner 28 May 1863. The marriage was witnessed by a Stephen George. The 1851 census shows a possible family for my Elizabeth with a Stephen aged 8 (therefore born c. 1843) in the same household. I have also obtained a marriage certificate for a Stephen George (father William George, farmer) to Mary George (father David George, farmer), parish church Fishguard August 1866 and traced this family on the 1881 and 1901 census. I believe Stephen is the father of Pauline(a) George who taught at Dinas school and married the well-known headteacher there Tom Maurice in 1908. What I am trying to establish is whether this Stephen George is the brother of my Elizabeth George about whom I know very little. I would be delighted to hear from anyone who can spot any links or indeed any glaring errors in the above information. With grateful thanks Heather ______________________________ > ATTACHMENT part 6 message/rfc822 Date: Sun, 30 Nov 2003 11:51:09 EST From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: [WLS-PEM] Stephen George, Meline Parish Hi all, I have recently acquired the following birth certificate but don't think it's my chap.
