Dear Gerry, To clarify your answer to Lyn, I take it Martha was the only one "not born in Pembrokeshire". The leasehold of Butterhill was acquired by the Roch family some time after 1633 and their descendants owned it until 1906 according to the Extended version of Major Jones Pemb. Houses book. If Lyn is seriously interested in the Roch family of St. Ishmaels, then she should perhaps, as a first step, obtain the will abstracts from Haverfordwest Records Office for : Corbetta Roch, proved 1803 George Roch, proved 1755 Mary Roch, proved 1759. (The years were difficult to decipher, but I think I have them correctly). There are many Roch families settled throughout Rhos Hundred...marriage records exist from the 1600's. The George you mentioned, Gerry, being "around" 45.....(it WAS the 1841 census)......was probably still alive after 1858 when the St. David's Probate records cease, and, if he left a will or his estate was administered, Lyn might have to investigate the will calendars if further information is needed.
