I am sorry but I can't help with Morris NICHOLAS; I have only the St Dogmaels portion of the census and he is not in that. The index for Newport District (by Dyfed FHS), which I also have, does not cover Morfil, but it does show a Morris Nicholas, 50[i.e.50-54], Mason in Eglwyswrw at folio 009 page 012, i.e. HO107/1446/6/9 page 12.
