Ann would have been about 9 and Mary 15. Would you mind also looking up Morris NICHOLAS for me in the 1841 Census. I have him as being born around 1789 (52ish in the 1841 census) and profession as Mason. He married a Mary DAVIES in 1836 in Morfil, Pembrokeshire. Any further help would be very much appreciated. Regards, Jan Shaw. Dear Jan, I think you are in luck! Here is a part of the 1841 census for St Dogmaels, HO107/1446/5/8: High Street, St Dogmaels //David William, 40, , Mason, yes Martha William, , 42, , yes Mary William, , 15, , yes Nanncey William, , 9, , [blank] Elizabeth William, , 7, , [blank] Thomas William, 4, , , [blank] Margret William, , 2, , [blank] Martha Evanes, , 73, mother in law, [blank] I have a bit more info on David & Martha William(s) if you want it. I am sorry but I can't help with Morris NICHOLAS; I have only the St Dogmaels portion of the census and he is not in that. The index for Newport District (by Dyfed FHS), which I also have, does not cover Morfil, but it does show a Morris Nicholas, 50[i.e.50-54], Mason in Eglwyswrw at folio 009 page 012, i.e. HO107/1446/6/9 page 12. This could be a false lead, though. Regards Bill G-J
