My gr. grandfather BENJAMIN JOHN was born in Lllandewi Velfrey in 1828. His parents THOMAS and SOPHIA were married there in 1819. I feel he must have had some older brothers and sisters. On the 1881 census I found WILLIAM born 1819 in Llandewi V THOMAS born 1823 " JOHN born 1825 " Could sks see if they could find them on the 1841 and 1851 censuses - I know they had left home. Were there many JOHN families in Llandewi Velfrey? I know Thomas and Sophia were born in Llanboidy, CMN. Many thanks Sheila in Hertfordshire .

In the 1851 index I couldn't find a William aged 32 and a John aged 26 (both born in Llandewi Velfrey) in the Narberth Enumeration District. I did find a Thomas aged 28 in Narberth parish (HO 107/2475, Folio 480, Page 5, Schedule 16): with Phebe John, 29, b. Llawhaden I believe there is a fair chance that this Phebe is the Phoebe Johns, widow aged 69, born Llawhaden, living in Sheep Street, Narberth in 1891 with her unmarried daughters Margaret A. aged 37, and Eliza aged 30, both dressmakers. Unfortunately none of this helps in proving a connection between your Benjamin and anyone else. Gerry Lewis
