Hello everyone, I am new to this list and would be very pleased to receive some help regarding a man named ABEDNEGO JENKINS. This man spent most of his adult life in Carmarthenshire and thanks to some very good help from the CMN list I know something of his life there as a Calvinistic Methodist Minister. However, my problem is that I can't find his birth. According to the 1881 census he was born in St Clears in about 1818 so I had thought he would be easy to find having such an unusual first name. But I have failed so far. I have been wondering if it is possible that he was given a different name when christened and later adopted the name Abednego perhaps in connection with his religion. If anyone has got any thoughts about how I can find the birth of Abednego JENKINS I would be so pleased to hear them as I have completely run out of ideas now. Thanks in anticipation, Jan
