    3. Dear Ian I have been trying to find a connection between a Phelps family of Cresselly Farm and Creswell Quay to my own without success. I am guessing Cresselly was the name of a large property near Creswell Quay where there are now river-front Cresselly Cottages, according to the net. I like the cricket club site! http://www.cressellycricketclub.co.uk/ I'm sure there is someone out there who knows some detail of the area and its history, Regards Megan Phelps Sydney, Australia On 15/02/2005, at 10:50 AM, BJ & LC Kirkwood wrote: > Dear Ian, > > Cresselly is in Jeffreston, Pembrokeshire. > You failed to tell us your gggrandmother's name.......was she an Allen? > > Bettye Kirkwood, Australia. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Ian Moseley" <idm.moseley@virgin.net> > To: <WLS-PEMBROKESHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2005 9:20 AM > Subject: [WLS-PEM] Cresselly Parish > > >> Hello all, >> >> I am trying to trace my gggrandmother (paternal). >> >> She married Richard Andrews of Wookey Parish, Somerset and lived most >> if > not >> all of her married life in Merthyr Tydfil. >> >> On the 1871 census her birth place is listed as Kasey Parish, > Pembrokeshire >> In 1881 as just Pembroke >> and in 1891 as Crishelly. >> I take it that this is supposed to be Cresselly, I have looked at the >> IGI >> batch numbers and on the GENUKI Pembroke's page but can not find any >> reference to Cresselly. >> >> Is it a parish, or are there no parish records available, or is it a >> sub >> parish? >> >> Regards, >> Ian, >> not usually baffled with Welsh Counties and Parishes. >> >> >> >> >> >> >> -- >> No virus found in this outgoing message. >> Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. >> Version: 7.0.300 / Virus Database: 265.8.7 - Release Date: 10/02/2005 >> >> >> ==== WLS-PEMBROKESHIRE Mailing List ==== >> Dyfed FHS >> http://www.dyfedfhs.org.uk/ >> > > > > ==== WLS-PEMBROKESHIRE Mailing List ==== > National Library of Wales > http://www.llgc.org.uk/ >
