Good Morning Darryl, I am 99% certain the following is from the 1871 census 1871 RG10 5020 folio 16 page 5. Lists (all born Pembs) Elizabeth RICHARDS 41 Head Widow School Mistress Jane 20 Dau School Mistress dau. John D 18 dau !! Gardener Joseph 15 dau !! Farm Labourer Sarah M 9 dau Scholar Elizabeth DUGGAN 67 Mother Widow Nurse. Can you now confirm? John D Richards came to London around early 1870s to marry in 1878 and I think Joseph followed to be Best Man. Sadly, I have as yet found out very little about Jane and Sarah M. Incidentally, the name you could not decipher is Orielton. There was a Mill there which my grandfather must have know well. Sadly it had to be demolished in the 1970s as unsafe but we now have photos, some artefacts and have seen the location. For the future, I would very much like to expand the DUGGAN line although there are many undiscovered RICHARDS relations out there somewhere. What are your main search directions?
