    3. I'm trying to verify my GGrMother Mary Evans (neé Mary Evans) who was noted as coming from Loveston. The birth date I have is December 24, 1829. She was reportedly married to John Evans in 1849 (but probably no later than 1850 since she and John were reported married but childless in the 1851 GLAM census), and the marriage may have been in Loveston. I would be eternally grateful if SKS with access to Loveston records would either verify Mary's birth and marriage or (second-best) tell me I'm barking up the wrong tree. 3. Dear Christopher, I had no luck in identifying a marriage at Loveston in the Pemb. index which would result in Mary's birth in 1829. In fact I could not see any Evans against Loveston, so would imagine her parents may have married in an adjoining parish. Because I could not find any post 1813 I decided to look pre-1813, and a George Evans 1802 at Loveston married Margaret Williams.......this is not much help to you, unless of course they happened to be Mary's grandparents, but with such a common name as Evans it may be hard to prove. As the marriage you mentioned took place after certificates were issued, perhaps you can find the couple in the free BDM and identify their marriage place. The certificate would certainly give you much valuable information.
