Hi Rose I just had a look at the 1891 database which totals 102,600 people because it also covers the Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire borders. The oldest woman was Mary Davies from Blaenporth at 103. There are a total of 91 people over the age of 90. On the other end of the scale there were 26,390 children aged 10 or under. Thats an lot of children! -------------------------------------------------------- Sylvia Birch sylvia@cenquest.co.uk PEMBROKESHIRE Census on Line www.cenquest.co.uk ----- Original Message ----- From: Maytree4@aol.com To: sylvia@cenquest.co.uk ; WLS-PEMBROKESHIRE-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2005 12:04 AM Subject: Re: [WLS-PEM] Land of Dreams and 1871 Just to add to Sylvia's message, I have just been looking through the 1841 census returns for Marloes and have found a Jane Devereaux aged 100. Don't believe what we are told - our ancestors did live to quite old age, too. Rose
