    3. Ooops, so sorry I forgot to put something in the subject line so am resending this message in hope that it will grab someone's attention. Hello, I'm hoping someone can do a look up in the 1861 Census for Pembroke. I'm looking for a Annie(Ann, Anne) BRINN and possible a daughter named Margaret. Anne was born approximately 1840 and I'm not sure of her birthplace. Margaret was born approximately 1857 in Carew, Pembroke. I believe I have found Annie, Dressmaker, with her son John, in the 1871 Census for Carew. John was born about 1863 and is 8 in that Census. I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on this for me as I do not know if there is a husband in the picture or not. Thanks in anticipation. Libby Clarke Bracebridge, ON Canada

    3. Dear Libby, It does not look like there's a husband. In the Village of Carew is Robert Brinn, a widowed Stone Quarrier.....his age might end in a 3....unfortunately there is a big black cross right over the entry, particularly the first figure. He was born at St. Florence. Living with him is Anne his 25 years old Unmarried Boot Binder daughter and his 4 years old granddaughter Margaret. I guess there is always the possibility that Margaret is the daughter of Robert's unknown son, unless you are sure that Anne is her mother. 3. Hi Bettye, Thanks so much for you reply to my quest for BRINN's. I did not have this information and it confirms what I suspected.....no husband for Anne (at least not that we can see). With information that another lister has sent I think I am now in a position to order a couple of certificates that may confirm things for me. Again, this list is so helpful, I now have information to keep me busy for quite a while.
