    3. Hello, I am a newcomer to the Pembrokeshire list. My interest is in a HANCOCK family from Camrose. My Gt Grandfather, George Hancock (b.1851), was the son of Rebecca Hancock (b.1829), unmarried, who at the time of George's birth was living with her widowed mother, Hannah Hancock, at Pelcomb Bridge. An 8 year old grand-daughter of Hannah's, Hester Owen, was there at the same time. George was still with his grandmother in 1861, but I can find no further record of Rebecca in Wales or England. I think, but have not confirmed, that Hannah was the Hannah Harbet (?) (b. about 1790) who married Philip Hancock in Camrose in 1811. Philip died before 1841 (possibly Camrose, 1834). Besides Rebecca, other possible children of Philip and Hannah are Elizabeth (b.1825), James (b.1823), Mary (b.1822), Thomas (b.1815) , all at Camrose. I would value any help confirming this family and linking it to the other Hancocks of Camrose. I am particularly interested in what happened to Rebecca. Ian Hancock -- Ian Hancock Northumberland

    3. Hi Marlene I believe that your ancestor Mary Howell was born at Defynock in the county of Brecon in about 1800, the daughter of Samuel Howell. She married in 1820 at Ambleston, Rev. Thomas Harries, Vicar of Llandissilio. Their daughter Sarah Ann Harries married a relative of mine Dr Richard James of Kensington, London (from a family settled at Dyffryn caerhyg (Llandissilio parish), Aberelwyn (in Eglwysfairachurig) and Ponygafel (Llanfyrnach parish). I think another daughter of Thomas and Mary was probably the wife of John Muscott of Cilau fawr, Llandissilio. Let me know if this is your family and I can send you more. 1. William and Son Tom Thomas: Tenby
    2. I'm trying to trace my husband's family on his paternal grandfather's side. Fact Tom Thomas living in Tenby at time of marriage to Florence Richards in Cornwall about 1919. Tom was a schoolmaster. His father William was an engineer. Before that things are a bit uncertain. I know that Tom was using the surname Prosser Thomas but this doesn't show up anywhere earlier. There's a family living at Pembroke Dock with these names, William the father being an marine engineer. However, members of the family were to be found living in Ystalyfera in Glamorgan in more recent times. Does anyone connect with this family. I'm assuming I have the right connection in Pembroke but there are also families of William and Tom Thomas to be fouind in both Morriston and Ystalyfera. TIA. Anna Thomas

Bit slow right now, it pays to read the instructions to maximise its potential eg panning. The bad news is that it only currently covers England - Wales etc to follow soon - well worth bookmarking Project led by Defra's Geographic Information Unit and involves the Countryside Agency, English Nature, English Heritage, the Environment Agency and the Forestry Commission Gareth Admin for the Rootsweb DYFED, CGN & PEM lists Genuki Wales http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/ Lookup Exchange http://home.clara.net/tirbach/lookup.html Help Page http://home.clara.net/tirbach/hicks.html Cwmgors/Waun http://www.tytwp.plus.com/Waun/Waun.html .
