    3. Hi Listers, Before I start on my saga, I would like to take the opportunity to publicly thank John Ball for guiding me through the geographical "haze" of Cardigan, specifically the Rhydlewis and Twrgwyn area. Now for my headache! I have been able to find my gg grandmother, Elizabeth Davies alive and a widow in the 1891 census. She was still on the property, "Twrgwyn" . In the 1891 census, the farm was now being managed by her son-in-law, James T James. When I started looking in the 1881 census, I found I was unable to be 100% certain if Elizabeth and her husband David Davies were in the area. I guess in my naivety, I thought the dwelling in the 1881 census would show as "Twrgwyn", but for the life of me, I cannot find it. I know this couple had a farm, as in a journal written by my g grandfather (John Davies their son) between 1865-1866, he wrote "...Let me know all the news of what is happening at home and what prices the cattle are fetching and also how the crops are shaping..." The journal which was translated by a descendant also includes..."John Davies returned once to Wales in the 1880's, and met his father and mother once again, for the last time..." The latter, leads me the think if John did visit his parents in the 1880's then it would be highly likely both were alive in the 1881 census. The only couple I can find that may be David and Elizabeth Davies in the 1881 census live in a dwelling "Pencwm" in the census district Llanarth. Yet this does not match the census in 1891... dwelling "Twrgwyn" district "Troedyraur" I am lost and confused.......is there anyone who may be able to guide me on the right path???
