Seems to me that these lists are SO quiet compared with a couple of years ago, you can't ALL be dead ! So, I wondered what could be done to stimulate some general interest/activity - and here is my 'grand idea' :-) A project involving creating something of historical value. Still awake ?? What I had in mind was to lay out in prose, in as much detail as possible, the day in the life of a typical resident of South Wales in the 19th century. BUT, every single piece of material must be based on historical fact - with the original source to be included in the accompanying reference notes. Now I can't think how we would ever agree on which part, geographic and occupational, of South Wales to base this on, but that isn't MY problem. I feel that I have done my bit now, and so I leave it to SOMEONE ELSE to pick this up and run with it, or not. The end product could go on Genuki as a permanent feature, I am quite happy to house the interim 'story' within my Help Pages so that people can see how it is coming along and make contributions accordingly. I'm saying no more about it, a lack of enthusiasm will no doubt see it dying a rapid death. RIP.
