RĂ© the farm account book of Jenkin Jones ...... Aiden Jones' contribution, etc. This entry reminded me of a search I had abandoned years ago relative to a farm in Tregaron .....Ochr Derigaron, or Ochrderigaron (today, just Ochr)? 1. A man named William Oliver lived and worked at Ochrderigaron between 1842/3 and 1850. We are looking for the ancestry of his wife, one Mary Jones. (could she be more difficult?) 2. This Wm. Oliver came to Wisconsin in 1850. His son Peter was buried from Ochrderigaron farm in Strata Florida Cemetery in 1843. 3. Mary Jones was from Tynypompren, Lledrod when she married William Oliver of Pantgwyn, Upper Gwnnws at Gwnnws in 1836. Witnesses were John Evans and Hugh Felix. 4. In 1841 this couple and children were living at Pantgwyn with his parents, Richard and Elizabeth (Evans) Oliver. Two Tregaron baptisms are for daughters of this couple, as well, both noted from Derigaron (1844, and 1847). 5. Mary Jones was born in Cards. ca. 1816. William Oliver was baptized in 1814. I have copied the parish records from 1841 to 1871 and find Williamses, Felixes, Joneses, etc. in spades in Ochrderigaron. Since there are no Olivers there, except this family, I wonder if Mary (Jones?) Oliver was one of their relatives. Any ideas would be appreciated. Edward T.
