Hi again John, The reason I queried Penybont Shop, is because there is one in 1881 who has a David Evans there, and Margaret was a shop keepers wife .It says on Hannahs cert a John Jones was in attendence at her death. He also was a .witness of the marriage of Sarah Williams. perhaps this could have been their shop, unless this is yet another one.. There could be three different lines of Jones here. I have a copy of the first edition of the "National Burial Index for England and Wales" published on two CD-Roms in 2001 by the Federation of Family History Societies. I've found it rather disappointing, particularly for Welsh research. While the index is claimed to include over five million records, there are few entries for burials in Wales. For example there are about 11,000 entries for Cardiganshire, 5,000 for Radnorshire, less than 1000 for Monmouthshire and Montgomeryshire, 249,000 for Glamorgan, and none at all for the remaining eight Welsh counties.
