All ifno.at present is hand-me-down,word of mouth. I have no documentation as yet and no confirmation of detail. I believe Elizabeth was Sam's second wife, who with him in1891 in Ystradyfodwg. His first wife could possibly have been a Jenkins, via moth in law Ann Jenkins living with them in Clydach. Apparently he moved back to Aberaeron, where he married his third wife,a postmistress, hopefully after the death of Elizabeth. Elizabeth's Parents were Richard and Mary(nee Edwards)Aberystwyth. She was a lead miner as was her daughter Margaret. Unfortunately I am unable to get to either Cardiff or Merthyr for a long time so will not be able to follow through your suggestion of BT's. Thanks anyway. Richard
Richard, Since all of your information is undocumented, I assume you've not sent away for any of the birth/marriage/death certificates for the people you've mentioned. I spent considerable time and effort in putting together the information in my previous reply, based on the information you provided. You seem to want to stick to the 'word of mouth' stories and have barely acknowledged (seemingly dismissed) what I've sent you with a "Thanks anyway". In my experience, family stories often turn out to be erroneous when one is faced with the facts. (Do you really believe that's a *different* Samuel DAVIES living at the same farm, born at the same time, where your Samuel DAVIES died?) I thought you posted your query in order to be able to begin your research but, since you now you say you're unable to go to Cardiff or Merthyr T, it's apparent that I was mistaken and can only suppose you're looking for others to supply you with your pedigree. If that's the case, I suggest you contact a professional researcher to conduct your research for a fee. Good luck.
