Hi just me again, I have recently managed to pick up a copy of the book "Holidays by LMS [London Midland and Scottish Railways] 1931" Sure enough the hotel was mentioned in there: "Aberystwyth "Glengower" - Victoria Marine Terrace. Best position on the front. Convenient for golf links, tennis courts, bowls etc. Electric light throughout. Separate tables. Tariff on application. Mr and Mrs Edwards, Proprietors." So I can now assume that Thomas was most likely married, unless it was previously owned by his parents and that they did did own the hotel in the early 1930s. At least this is a little more information.
