Could someone please tell me the meaning of this place name? Would a Welsh-English dictionary help me in the future? Hi Calista, Beili, often seen alone as a place name, means: yard or enclosure (often formed by a wall or hedge, as in castle). Ffoes or Ffôs means: ditch or trench, usually man made.
