Is there anyone researching a Jones family Llainddu, Llanarth early 1800's ? As well as this request ,I would be interested to hear from anyone who might remember something similar to the following (no connection with the above ) As a child in the late 1940's early 1950's growing up in a little village (Cross Inn) outside New Quay ,Cards ,I vaguely remember that during the school summer holidays , a group of children would arrive in the village and the school would be used to house the children .This occured regularly for a few years. There didn't appear to be any connection between these children and the local kids and I can't remember ever seeing them other than occasionaly when they were playing in the school yard. . We were told to keep away from the school whilst they were there. I think they were orphans,there didn't appear to be more than few adults accompaning them. I wonder if other schools in Cards did the same and could tell me more about Ihe children .I would be interested to hear . Diolch yn fawr , Hwyl, Buddug
