Hi Dewi, This is a long shot, but worth a try. From the surnames you posted, I have Davies & Evans from Blaenafon, Twrgwyn and or, Twrgwyn Farm, Rhydlewis, Cardigan. The couple were David & Elizabeth (Evans) Davies (possible marriage time frame about 1843). I believe Elizabeth had inherited the farm (?when). However, when her husband, David died (?when), the farm was passed onto two daughters, Achsah (Davies) Croad and Ellen (Davies) James. In the 1891 census, Elizabeth is a widow, "living on her own means" and on the farm "Twrgwyn". Her son-in-law James T James (age 47) is the head of the household and farming the land, along with wife Ellen (age 30) and children Elizabeth (age 5) & Evan (age 4). Have my fingers crossed :-) Lesley (Sydney, Australia) _________________________________________________________________ Hot chart ringtones and polyphonics.
