    3. Excellent Alwyn, That is more or less, word for word, the answer given to me over 60 years ago, when I asked a Liverpool Welsh relative. "All available scraps of meat thrown into a pot" and as he put it. "In a Port such as Liverpool in the 19 century, people of all races and colour settled and interbred until it was difficult to find genuine Liverpudlian Stock, as one would in other towns and villages in Wales, for instance". That is indisputably the answer to the meaning of Lobscouse. Incidentally I always thought it was written as one word, made up of two, but could be wrong!
