Hello Ian, Thanks for looking. I'm a little confused now in view of what you've said. The Parish records clearly stated the names Gwerllyn and Tycanol. What can I say about Catherine - at her death she was 65 which ties in with my other info. Children, from other census details I have Margaret, Ellin, Catherine but of course if they were married, their surnames wouldn't be Jones. I also have sons, William, John, Richard and Robert.. Does this shed any light??? Other places of residence were Tany-y-foel, Cefn Madryn, Bryntirion, Penrhos and Glandwr. I know there is a Catherine widow in Glandwr but I'm trying to tie her in with a daughter to help me link them, hence the Gwerllyn and Tycanol. Hi Geraint I notice that the list of MI for St Hywyn's Old Church has listed a Ty Canol in Tudweiliog - G.Jones, sailor who died in 1917 aged 24. There is an entry - Glandwr, Catherine Jones, Head, wid, 63, (no occupation shown) born Llaniestyn. Language -Welsh. No one else living in the household! Seems to fit.
