    3. Not to my knowledge. The area you mention is nowhere near the well known Slate Quarries of North Wales. Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda, Dinorwic Quarry, Llanberis, Blaenau Ffestiniog ,Meirionnydd and the Nantlle Valley Quarries near Penygroes are the ones which immediately come to mind. These employed many thousands of employees in their day.
