HOLLAND/PREES/PRYCE/OWEN LINES 1754 William HOLLAND and Margaret PREES, married in Llandudno on 20 November. 1757 Jane HOLLAND d/o William and Margaret baptized in Llandudno May 11 1761 Mary HOLLAND, c/o William and Margaret baptized in Llan Rhos Feb. 22 1763 John HOLLAND , s/o William and Margaret baptized in Llan Rhos Mar 20 1769 Maria HOLLAND, d/o William and Margaret baptized in Llan Rhos June 10 1769 Mariana WILLIAM, d/o William and Margaret shown in IGI as baptized June 18 (I think this is the old patronymic naming pattern, since Mary and John above are shown in the IGI as Mary WILLIAM and John WILLIAM, with parents as William and Margaret Holland. The dates for them are exactly the same as shown under the names of HOLLAND in the Llan Rhos Parish Register. So, I believe that Mariana WILLIAM is really Maria HOLLAND and is also the Marianna HOLLAND who was buried April 10, 1785 in Llandudno. If so, she was 16 when she died. 1780 Margaret PRYCE, of Pant-y-Ffynnon, buried 27 September, Llandudno 1782 William Holland buried August 28, Llandudno 1785 Marianna Holland buried April 10, Llandudno (I THINK THIS IS MARIA, above) 1785 Mary HOLLAND married Robert OWEN of Llan Rhos in Llandudno December 10 A possible baptism for Robert Owen is in Eglwys Rhos - July 6, 1758 to Owen Williams and Gaynor. Age would be right. Patronymics again, possibly. 1819 Mary HOLLAND, alias Mary OWEN was buried April 12,1819,in Llandudno, age 56 1824 Robert OWEN buried Feb. 25 age 69, Llandudno Children of Robert and Mary Owen: 1786 Catherine- no information 1788 Margaret (Margaret OWEN married William WILLIAMS March 20, 1813. They had 2 children baptized at the family home, Pant-y-Ffynnon: 1813 Robert, 1815 Jane. Others born later somewhere else. There is a separate email for this line. 1790 William - no information 1792 Edward (Edward OWEN married Mary WILLIAMS Apr. 30,1813 in Llandrillo yn Rhos (we think), and their son, Robert OWENS was bapt. May 17,1818 at Pant-y-Ffynnon. Edward is shown as Labourer. There is a separate email for this line with other siblings of Robert. 1794 Jane - No information. 1797 Mariana (my gggrandmother) Mariana OWEN and William ROBERTS (as of now of unprovable origin) had an illegitimate son in 1819 - William ROBERTS b/s/o Mariana Owen and William Roberts bapt. Feb. 5 . Llanrhos. William and Mariana are shown as servants at Gloddaeth. l don’t know if this child went by the name of Owen or Roberts. 1820 Mariana OWEN and William ROBERTS married Dec. 9, 1820.
