    1. Ann ? Llanarmon / Gruffydd Sion Trawsfynydd
    2. Rhian Williams
    3. Rhian of Blaenau Ffestiniog My ggg grandfather Griffith Jones (1806-?), known as Gruffydd Sion, was a shoemaker in Trawsfynydd. It is said he came from Harlech around 1828 and was a Baptist. There is also a tradition that he had a brother called Sion Gruffydd and that going back generations there were Gruffydd Sion and Sion Gruffydd, every other. I know quite a bit about his children (Anne - see below, Griffith (1832-1904), Jane Griffiths (1841-1904) and Lowri (Laura) Griffiths (1844-1914) and grandchildren although am not in touch with other lines since the death of Griffith Jones Feidiog, Trawsfynydd who provided me with a lot of information. I know there are or were connections in the Midlands (England) and Denbighshire (Llanfwrog, Rhewl). I am descended from his daughter Ann(e) Jones (1934-1908) who married Robert Owen of Cae Iago, parish of Maentwrog (see separate email). My interest is finding out more about the Harlech roots - even finding a starting point (among Baptists in the area? or a house name) would be good. I have sent a message to the Meirionnydd list but am also sending this to the Caernarfonshire list since Anne his wife came from Llanarmon, Caernarfonshire, though I know nothing more of her other than she was born around 1806. Does this ring any bells with anyone? She might have been a Baptist but I don't know her maiden name, though assume, maybe wrongly, that she was married before 1828. She maybe therefore went from Llanarmon to Harlech rather than direct to Trawsfynydd. The first child I know of was born in 1832. Unfortunately only some of my information is easily available in a database - the remainder could be searched for in my copious written notes if anyone responds to this. This is the first of several emails in response to the List Census, trying to keep different strands of the family separate. Rhian
