Dear list, I wonder if anyone, Alwyn, Yvonne Edwards or anyone with an interest, knows whether people on the list have joint membership of GFHS and vice-versa? Perhaps on the next list census that would be interesting to find out? I know that there is likely to be benefit from being in both (I'm not on commission!). The good thing about the mailing lists, though, is you can post a few queries on far-flung lists and then unsubscribe if you don't want to keep receiving messages. To answer Ian Thompson of London, I am a member of both GFHS and CFHS ... and subscribe to numerous of the ROOTSWEB sites. And, I read every post that arrives, searching for that single THOMAS that might be related 300 years hence. To date, I have seen only one Welsh THOMAS post on any of these sites. [There must be a lot of "doubting" going on in Wales! pardon the pun] I happen also to be the THOMAS list administrator on ROOTSWEB; a rabid genealogist & family historial for over 30 years; and my paternal great grandmother's maiden name was MARTHA JANE THOMPSON.
