When he was in South Wales he was a coal hewer. He brought his first wife home to Penygroes to be buried in Macpelah, and 9 months later did the same for his 3 children who died within two days of one another in the flu epidemic. September 1956 in Newport, South Wales. He married SARAH [***]. He was known as "Jimmy Tailor". Went to Newport about 1910. During the 1st World War he served with the 1st and 6th Battalion Welsh Fusiliers and was invalided out at Galipoli . After the war he returned to Penygroes .
