    3. Hi: Here's the next branch of my family Margaret Williams was born Margaret Owen, d/o of Robert and Mary Owen in 1788. PARRY/OWEN/WILLIAMS/ROBERTS/HANSON FAMILIES I believe that the Parry family and the Pritchard families are related to the Owens, but I don’t know how yet.. Ty’n Rhewl: 1719 - Evan JONES 1737 - John EVANS 1761, Sept. 3. William PARRY m.Catherine ROBERTS at Llanrhos on 3 Sept. 1761. 2 sons, Enoch (b. 1766) and Richard - who cannot be found in parish register transcriptions. (There is also a William Parry who married a Magdelen Roberts on July 21, 1766 in Llandudno parish register booklet. Witnesses Thomas Roberts and William Mark. Connection?) 1785 - in August son, Owen was born to William PARRY and Margaret PRITCHARD, who was living at Ty’n Rhewl at the time. 1789, May 25. William Parry, Widower m. Margaret Williams, Widow. Llandudno. Owen Williams, Roger Williams, witnesses.. (connected?) 1808 - held in joint tenancy of William Parry and Richard PARRY. Since I cannot find a trace of son Richard Parry’s baptism could he be a brother ? Relatives & family living at Tyn’Rhewl during Parry tenancy were Magdalene ROBERTS, who died on January 5,1789 and William EVANS who died in August 1794. 1817, May 17, Wm. PARRY, Ty’n Rhewl, died and he was buried in Llanrhos. Tenancy passed to William and Margaret WILLIAMS. William WILLIAMS from Llangwstenin married Margaret OWEN, d/o Robert and Mary OWEN, of Llanrhos on March 20, 1813. (Llanrhos PR booklet) 1825, May 16. Llandudno PR shows burial of Margaret Williams alias PARRY, Ty’n Rhewl. Children of William and Margaret Williams: 1813, June 27 - Robert, from Llandudno parish register. Born at Pant y Ffynnon. He moved from home to live in Liverpool where he married and had a daughter, Margaret, born in 1846. In 1851 she was living with William and Margaret Williams and family at age 5. 1815, March 27 - Jane 1817 - Mary, started work on the farm, moved away and trained to be a school teacher. Returned home by 1881 and died there in October, 1899 and was buried at Llanrhos. 1824 - William, remained on the farm. Married Elizabeth HUGHES, d/o John Hughes of Penrhynside on March 16, 1850 but died 2 years later and was buried at Llanrhos. 1829 - Gabriel,March 22. Gabriel later took over tenancy of Ty’n Rhewl. 1830 - Margaret, stayed at home but died in 1855. Mary Williams, 20, John Williams, 20 1851 Census - Ty’n Rhewl: William Williams, farmer Margaret, Wife Margaret Williams, Dtr., M, 31, born CAE 55. Gabriel, 20 (Gabriel 1) Margaret, granddaughter, 5, born LIV/LAN. She would be Robert Williams’ daughter. DAUGHTER, MARY, WAS AWAY AT SCHOOL STUDYING TO BE A TEACHER. 1852 - William , who died two years after marriage to Elizabeth HUGHES. 1855 - Margaret WILLIAMS died at age 25. (There are too many Margarets here and the ages don’t compute) 1855 - May 31, Gabriel WILLIAMS (Gabriel I) married Ellen EVANS, d/o John Evans from Llanrhaiadr at Llanrhos Children: 1855, July - Richard 1857 William 1860 - John, became a farm worker and worked for many years at Pen-y-Ffordd Farm, Bodafon. John died in 1931 1863 - Robert 1865 - Gabriel(Gabriel II) , once a shoemaker, also a farm worker for 20 years at Pen-y-Ffordd Farm,Bodafon. Married Jane Thomas in 1887. 1867 - Edward, became a cab driver and married Ellen Roberts, below 1870 - Isaac 1874 - George, later tenancy passed to him 1875 - Margaret Ellen 1860 - William WILLIAMS died at 70 in May. 1861 Census - Ty’n Rhewl: Margaret Williams, Head, Widow, farmer Mary, daughter, Single, teacher Gabriel, son, Married, Agl. Age 62. 1877 - Margaret Owen WILLIAMS died at age 89. Eglwys Rhos Parish Register shows burial of Margaret Williams, Ty’n Rhewl, Llandudno, March 19, 1877. 1877 - November, Gabriel 1 took over tenancy.of Ty’n Rhewl 1880 - Gaynor ROBERTS, d/o.Edward Roberts and Mary Williams Roberts, born Feb. 8. She married William Hanson. They lived at 2 Pen-y-Parc Terrace and had one son, Edward Henry. ( (Gaynor belongs to another Roberts family (ancestors of a friend of mine) but is included here because there is a later connection with Williams family)) 1881 - Census - Ty’n Rhewl: Gabriel Williams, H. 51, farmer of 15 acres, Llandudno Ellen, wife Gabriel, 16 son (Gabriel II) Edward, 14 Isaac, 11 George, 7 Margaret Ellen, 6 Mary Williams, U, 63, school mistress, Llandudno Margaret Jane Roberts, U. 19, visitor , Dressmaker, Llandudno WHO IS SHE? 1887 - Gabriel Williams, 21, Farmer, Llandudno, s/o Gabriel Williams, Farmer m. Jane Thomas , Llandudno, d/o Thomas Thomas, shoemaker on October 19 at St. George’s Church. Witnesses: Thomas Hughes, Maggie Williams. 1891 - Census - Ty’n Rhewl: Gabriel Williams (1) Head Ellen Williams, wife Edward, son, cab driver Isaac, son, plasterer George, worked on the farm Margaret Ellen Mary Williams, sister 1891 - Gabriel (II) then at Carreg Llithrig Cottage and later obtained tenancy of this cottage. Children: 1896 Margaret Ellen, April 26 1897 Gladys, April 6 1899 - William George (died at 14 months), b. January 1 1901 - Ada - May 26 Have cert. Alfred?? Could be the Alfred who was the last tenant of Ty’n Rhewl. See last page 1899 - Mary WILLIAMS, schoolteacher, died at 81 1899 - March. Carreg Llithrig no information Gabriel, son, 11 no information John, son, 9 no information Ellen, daughter, no information Annie, dtr., 5 - married Evan Richard Jones, see below Margaret, dtr. 3 no information Winifred (??) 1, dtr. no information 1909 - Ellen Evans WILLIAMS died age 76 in April Tenancy of Ty’n Rhewl passed to George WILLIAMS Richard and Isaac remained at Ty’n Rhewl along with John’s widow, Winifred. Margaret Ellen m. Joseph PARRY and they lived here also. 1911 2 Pan-y-Parc Terrace occupied by William and Gaynor Hanson and son, Edward Henry. 1912 - Gaynor (Roberts) and William HANSON’S son, Edward Henry, died in December - 6 mos. old. 1916 - Anne WILLIAMS, d/o Gabriel Williams, Quarryman, Penn-y-ffordd Cottage, married Evan Richard JONES, 22, Quarryman, Haulfan, Llanrhos (s/o Hugh Richard Jones (deceased), Butcher, on October 26 at Llandudno Parish Church. Witnesses: Owen Owens, Ellen Williams. (copied from St. George’s Church marriages on microfilm when I was in Llandudno). They lived at Ty Newydd Villas. 1918 - Gaynor Roberts HANSON died February 8, 1918. Gaynor, William and Edward Henry are all buried in Plot B095 at Llanrhos. 1920 - June 23. William HANSON, 38,porter at the Hydropathic Hotel in Craigside, married Mary Jane JONES, 36,the widowed daughter of Gabriel and Jane WILLIAMS at Llanrhos. They lived at Bryn Hyfryd, At one point Evan Richard Jones lodged with them before his marriage to Gabriel’s daughter, Anne in 1916. Also living at Bryn Hyfryd at this time were Gabriel (2) and Jane. Gabriel obtained work at the Little Orme Quarry. Gabriel and Jane’s daughter Ellen and her husband, Owen OWENS (b. 1889), a quarryman, were also living at Bryn Hyfryd in this period. Owen was later employed by the Colwyn Bay and Llandudno tramway Company. They had 3 children: Dennis, John and Owen. Gabriel (2) and Jane WILLIAMS and Owen and Ellen OWENS lived at Bryn Hyfryd for many years. Somewhere in this time period Margaret WILLIAMS and her children, Margaret, Tudno H. Willaims and Benjamin Williams lived at the house for varying periods. 1925 - Jane, wife of Gabriel (2) died at 56 in January buried in Llanrhos. Owen and Ellen OWENS and their children, John and Owen stayed at Brynhyfryd and in the early 1960s shared the house with Ernest Caradoc and Margaret Evans and their family - David G., Mark, Peter and Karen Evans. 1925 - John WILLIAMS, brother of Gabriel (2) was occupying Carreg Lithrig Cottage (or Pen-y-Ffordd Cottage as it was also known) , with John ‘s wife, Winifred. John and Winifred had 6 children, all of whom died young. 1928 Evan Richard Jones died in August at the age of 33. Anne Williams Jones stayed at Ty Newydd with her family: Eyra Jones, Jessie Jones,Hugh Jones 1931 - John WILLIAMS died on 4 Dec. at 71 1936 - George and Isaac only ones left at Ty’n Rhewl.. 1937 - Ellen ROBERTS WILLIAMS died in December at 67, buried at Llanrhos 1944 - Gabriel (2) died age 78. He and Jane are buried in Llanrhos. 1946 - George WILLIAMS died at the age of 71 and was buried in Llanrhos. 1947 - May. Edward WILLIAMS died at Neville Place - buried at Llanrhos. During the last year or two before he died, Edward had shared the house with David Hugh JONES and his wife, Margaret, who had come from Pen-y-Parc Terrace and for a time, their daughters Ada Hanson and Nesta Vernon. 1948 - Winifred, wife of John WILLIAMS of Carreg Lithrig Cottage, died 4 Jan. age 79. She and John were buried in Llanrhos with 2 of their children, Evan, almost 3 who died in 1893 and John Richard, who died in February 1898 age 11. Tenancy of Ty’n Rhewl passed to Alfred E. WILLIAMS and his wife Marion, until farm was demolished in early 1970s to make way for housing development of Penrhyn Beach Estate. Dottie Lutz, Philadelphia, PA USA
