The above chap, who was also MB JP, bequeathed £200 in 1930 to Miss Mary Jones, matron of the Royal Liverpool Infirmary (and a distant relative). Anybody know who this chap was? It was a tidy bequest - equivalent to perhaps £10-12,000 today. Would keep her in big starched hats for years (I have a photo of her in full matron regalia including a huge hat!). Gwyn Crewe UK
