Slightly off subject, but ... Some years ago I was looking through the Llanbeblig Parish records when I saw a burial for a woman killed by a train at Griffith's Crossing, just about the time the line opened. The vicar had written in the margin a note to the effect that this was because she did not know what a railway was! Hi Martin, Try http://local.live.com/ and navigate with the + sign and aerial photos to North Wales, Caernarfon and follow the Bangor road and you will see the old Ferrodo factory quite clearly and next to that towards Bangor is the Griffith's Crossing Industrial Estate. If you zoom in close enough you will see circular grassy areas within the estate. Could these have been your wartime underground storage tanks?
