Dear Listers, I have been instructed by a new member of the Gwynedd FHS to write to the List offering a death certificate to someone researching the family of the above. The certificate is for a JANE LEWIS who died, aged 11 years, at Ebenezer Village ( Now called Deiniolen) in the parish of Llanddeiniolen on the 27th September, 1890. Her father's name was THOMAS LEWIS, Slate Quarrier and the death was reported by her grandfather John Hughes. There is, however, one anomaly which I have come across: On the Llandinorwig Parish Burial Register, the name of the young girl was ELLEN LEWIS and not JANE as the IGI and the Death Certificate states. Everything else indicates that it refers to the same person i.e. the age of 11 years, the surname and the burial date was October 2nd 1890.
