Angharad, Seeing that Robert Jonathan was said to have been born at Llanbeblig (Caernarfon) on the 1851 census, I would imagine that he is related to Henry Jonathan, who was a hatter in High Street. There were early Jonathans also living and working as hatters at Beaumaris in the late 18th. Century whom I believe to be the same family.
