    3. Excuse my dumbness, a search of what card indexes exactly? Yea I have the wife and kids in the 1901 census but the marriage was in 1894 and kids <1897 - 1908>. I was just hoping John PARRY son was living with John PARRY senior in the same house as mentioned on JP son's marriage certificate. I know don't know anything about JP senior, other kids, wife, nowt. :( ----- Original Message ----- From: I Thompson To: WLS-CAERNARFONSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, August 25, 2006 11:03 AM Subject: [CAE] RE: Parry, Bangor Have you emailed a request for a search of the card indexes to the Gwynedd Archives and to Bangor Archives? They may have other info than that online. E mail addresses are online for Caernarvon and are iss177@bangor.ac.uk or e.w.thomas@bangor.ac.uk for Bangor. Good luck! You still have more chance with the census than any other route. Have you looked for the wife and children together on 1901 and Ancestry.com? This is because the husbands may have always been off at sea or in British ports - Swansea, Liverpool, Bristol and London being firm favourites. There is somewhere a website for mariners in port. Is it referenced in Welshmariners? I think so. Any chance of luck with directories of the time? Ask in Caernarvon and Bangor. Ian London SW9
