Ian, I think that the John Dilwyn Williams referred to in T. Ceiri Griffiths' book lives in Penygroes and is a member and past secretary of The Historical Society in Penygroes and a native of Llyn. He is a part time lecturer at Bangor and works on Thursdays and Fridays at the Caernarfon Record Office. He has researched many well known families in Llyn and is an authority on the families of some of the estates there. Both he and I took the members of the Caernarfonshire Historical Society on a tour of the town of Caernarfon in May of this year. I would suggest that you contact him at the R.O. 01286 679095 either by phone on a Thursday or Friday or write to him there.
