Hello Maggi You know way back in my memory bank the tailor thing does ring a bell. I do remember my mother speaking of the tailor in the family. My Grandmother on my mothers side was the sister of his mother, the surname was Davies and the family was from around Llanaelhaern. My Grandmothers name was Jane Davies , she married John Roberts Griffiths. Richard Davies and Sarah Roberts were Jane's parents therefore the parents of Robert Henry Jones mother. In the 1851 census , Richard Davies , Sarah Davies Richard born Llanaelhaearn,Sarah Tydweiliog, Richard 33, Sarah 36, Children , Elizabeth 13, Richard 11, William 9, Anne 8, Mary, 5, Sarah 3 Cadwalader 1.
