    3. Hi Cherie, I hope I can help from a geographical and historical point of view. You would be advised to check an atlas for the whereabouts of LLANIESTYN and LLANYMSTUMDWY. The former is approx. 1 1/2 miles from Sarnmellteyrn in Lleyn and the other is in Eifionydd, 2 miles from Criccieth, and they are many miles apart. The latter is renowned for having been the village where David Lloyd George was brought up at the home of his uncle, his father, a schoolmaster having died in Manchester, and leaving a widow and young children. There are other people far more knowledgable than I on the history of LLANNOR. The Rev. Harri Parri of Caernarfon for one and Mr J. Dilwyn Williams, lecturer in history at Bangor University, of Penygroes for another. I hope that you will eventually find what you are looking for. 3. Hi Meirion, You are quite correct of course I should find a relevant old map of the area. I have no idea of the welsh parishes and must admit that I become more confused as the spelling seems to change with each census. Now see that the John Jones I found cannot be mine. Thank you for your help.
