Hi I am currently involved in researching the history of our house in Talysarn – and have hit a brick wall in tracing back a family that lived here in the 1900’s. On the 1901 census, the following is recorded; No 18 Bryn Derwen Terrace, Talysarn. John Williams. Age 29. Head. Born talysarn. Slate quarry man Catherine Williams. Age 24. Born Talysarn. Arthur Williams. Age 2. Son.Born Talysarn. I cant seem to find the correct John Williams on the 1891 census – though he was no living at Bryn Derwen Terrace then.
