Joan, Just back from a few days in Glanwydden. I'll send you the pictures off list. Tan y Bryniau consists of three cottages, numbers 1 & 2 are on the left as you go down Gilfach Hill and No. 3 is on the right. In fact my godmother's daughter lives in number 2. Small world isn't it ! I could find no trace of Trawsdir. I can only assume it was a farm somewhere near Pabo Lane that either no longer exists or changed its name. Dad has no recollection of any "Trawsdir" in or near the Glanwydden / Pydew / Llangwstennin area in his lifetime and he's in his mid 80s. There appears to be only one Morfa Cottage. There has only been one there as far back as I can remember. There is a Pen y Ffordd on Pabo Lane, but it is no longer the end house in the lane as others have been built. Hope the pictures are OK. I'll send them individually in separate emails. All the very best, Les Williams Dover Kent ----- Original Message ----- From: "P & J Williams" <p-jwilliams@xtra.co.nz> To: <WLS-CAERNARFONSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 25, 2006 3:30 AM Subject: Re: [CAE] Photos Llangystennin > Hello Dick > Thank you for your help with locations, I can now give the full addresses > of the places I would love photos of. > > Pen-y-Ffordd Pabo Lane, Llandudno Junction > Morfa Cottages, Pen-y-Bont Road Glanwydden, Ll Junction > Tan-y-Bryniau Gilfach Road.,Llandudno Junction > > Perhaps someone knows if these Properties still exist? > Joan (NZ) > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Dick Jones" <rcjones@rmplc.co.uk> > To: <WLS-CAERNARFONSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Friday, August 25, 2006 11:58 AM > Subject: Re: [CAE] Photos Llangystennin > > >> At 9:21 am +1200 25/08/06, P & J Williams wrote: >> >Hi >> >I have just looked at my records and the following were places the >> >Williams and Hughes families lived. >> >If they are still around I would be very grateful for pictures >> >Tan-y-Bryniau , >> >Trawsdir >> >Morfa Cottages >> >Pen-y-Ffordd >> >all in Llangystennin or near. >> > >> >Thank you >> > >> >Joan (NZ) >> >> Possibilities are: >> >> Tan Y Bryniau, Glan Conwy, Colwyn Bay.
