    3. Hello Paul Your message concerning "Nant Gwythern" I think my spelling is wrong.. My mother was from Llithfaen and the wife of a cousin taught at 'The Nant" and I have visited there many times . In listening to conversation with these people it is my understanding that for a period from the late eighteen hundreds to the early nineteen hundreds no one but the Irish lived there and these were people who came to Wales to work the harvests and lived there during that time. I do not know when they stopped the quarrying there I am sure people lived there then. The Welsh language school was started at a later date.I do not know if this is of any value to you , perhaps.
