    3. The BT's for Trawsfynydd 1727 are not very clear. The liittle I can make out of the entry for Ellis Morgan & Ellin's marriage says: ...is Morgan De Llandekwyn & Elina Williams Do Trawsfynydd ... matrimonia (bannis prius Editis) Conjuncti f.... 26 Die Deceembris. The original parish registers are in Dolgellau Archive office, these may be clearer and may contain more information than the BTs. I am researching the line of Ellis Morgan who was married in 1727 and started having children in 1728. His first child William Ellis was baptised in 1728. William was married in 1753 to Jane verch Richard. They had a daughter Margaret in 1769 and she married Owen Evans of Tynddol, Festiniog. Through the Dafydd Hayes marriage index I got a reference for the marriage of Ellis Morgan and his wife Ellin in the Parish of Trawsfynydd. So, I am eagerly awaiting the microfilm of the BTs of that parish to have a look! Do you know if there are monumental inscriptions available for Dolwyddelan? The condition of the registers and transcripts can be so frustrating when they are faded and torn. Sometimes if I make the copy darker on the reader/printer I can make out the entries a little better. I'll definitely check with the Dolgellau Archive Office. Thanks for your time and help!
