    3. Hi again Jennifer, Most of my Bala Edwardses are named either Edward or Robert and it's quite a job sorting them out! However, I'm sure, if we go back far enough, your John and Morris are probably related to them, too!! I will keep my eyes open for possible links. Thanks, Enid. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, November 04, 2004 3:56 PM Subject: Re: [CAE] Margaret and Hannah, Nefyn. > Enid, > Probably not, however you mentioned Bala and it rang a bell. > John Edwards, father of John and Morris, was born in Bala ca. 1831 wife was > Gwen from Maentwrog (sp?). > > Thanks, > > Jennifer > > In a message dated 11/4/2004 10:33:55 AM Eastern Standard Time, > [email protected] writes: > Hi Jennifer, > > Thanks for trying! 3. Hi Jennifer, Thanks for trying! No connection to my Edwardses, unfortunately, as mine only came to Ffestiniog from Bala in 1893. 3. Hi Jennifer, As far as I know now (one can never be sure in this business!) I have nobody in Dolwyddelan, nor any Rowlands in Ffestiniog. Edward was born 15th September, 1899, and he went over in 1928/29. I do not have Margaret's birth date. Enid. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2004 9:14 PM Subject: Re: [CAE] Margaret and Hannah, Nefyn. > Hi Enid, > > It won't be the first time I've found "cousin's" online... > We very may be connected even though my main connection is Rowlands from > Festiniog, and Jones from Dolwyddelan. 2. Enid, Probably not, however you mentioned Bala and it rang a bell. John Edwards, father of John and Morris, was born in Bala ca. 1831 wife was Gwen from Maentwrog (sp?). 2. Hello Enid, You're right, you never know... My mother only remembers the John Morris (b.ca 1876) Edwards family in Utica. They were from Festiniog and I have his father Morris (1843) Edwards as well. Still looking for them in the 1930 US census, will let you know if I find anything. 3. Hi Geraint I notice that the list of MI for St Hywyn's Old Church has listed a Ty Canol in Tudweiliog - G.Jones, sailor who died in 1917 aged 24. There is an entry - Glandwr, Catherine Jones, Head, wid, 63, (no occupation shown) born Llaniestyn. Language -Welsh. No one else living in the household! Seems to fit. When I've got a few minutes I'll look for the rest of the family. Ian ----- Original Message ----- From: "Geraint L. 3. Hello Ian, Thanks for looking. I'm a little confused now in view of what you've said. The Parish records clearly stated the names Gwerllyn and Tycanol. What can I say about Catherine - at her death she was 65 which ties in with my other info. Children, from other census details I have Margaret, Ellin, Catherine but of course if they were married, their surnames wouldn't be Jones. I also have sons, William, John, Richard and Robert.. Does this shed any light??? Other places of residence were Tany-y-foel, Cefn Madryn, Bryntirion, Penrhos and Glandwr. I know there is a Catherine widow in Glandwr but I'm trying to tie her in with a daughter to help me link them, hence the Gwerllyn and Tycanol. Your help is much appreciated. regards Geraint ----- Original Message ----- From: "Enlli FH" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, November 02, 2004 8:42 PM Subject: Re: [CAE] Llaniestyn/Tudweiliog > I've been through the Llaniestyn & Tudweiliog sections of the 1891 census > and cannot see either Ty Canol or Gwerllyn.
