He was born January 9, 1911 in the Town of Lincoln, the son of Christian and Anna (OLSEN) HANSEN. He married Viviene STOVER on June 27, 1932 in Pittsville. They farmed in the Pittsville area where he was also an insurance agent and adjuster. They lived in KY and CA before retiring to AK. His wife, Viviene, died in 1985, and a son Edward died in 1984. He is survived by a daughter, Phyliss HODGSON of Lake Elsinore, CA; a son, Russell of Gurdon; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Alvin, of Port Edwards. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, one grandson, and six brothers, Laurence, Gordon, Clarence, Lester, Victor and Donald. The body was cremated.
