EHLERT, 1910-2000 Iola C EHLERT, 90, of Vesper, died Sunday November 25, 2000 at Family Heritage Medical and Rehabilitation Cnter, Wisconsin Rapids. Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Seneca Corners. The Rev Robert BUCKMAN officated, and burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs EHLERT was born April 8, 1910, in Vesper, to Adolph and Martha (ZAGER) ALBERT. After graduating from Wood County Normal School, she taught at the Veedum grade school and also the Bean school in the town of Hansen. She also was a substitute teacher at the Vesper Grade School. She married Elmer H EHLERT August 10, 1935, in Arpin, He preceded her in death on January 12, 1982. She farmed with her husband until 1978, when they retired. She was also a seasonal worker at numerous cranberry marshes and canning factories. Mrs EHLERT was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. She also was a volunteer worker for the American Cancer Society. She is survived by two sons, William (Judy) EHLERT and David (Sarah) EHLERT, both of Vesper; two daughters, Carol (Ralph) HAMEL of Vesper and Elaine (Rick) VAN ERT of Vesper; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one step-grandchild; six sisters, Mona DAVIS, Arlie ROBINSON, Verna HAUMSCHILD and June LIEBENSTEIN, all of Wisconsin Rapids, Ruth (Donald) KRONHOLM of Lake Tomahawk and Ellen (Emery) SEBOE of Elkhart Lake; and two brothers, Charles ALBERT and Robert ALBERT, both of Wisconsin Rapids. She was also predeceased by one son, Donald, a grandson, Chad, two sisters, Sylvia EXNER and Lila SCHULZ and a brother, Leroy ALBERT. Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, assisted the family.
