Funeral services were on Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Marshfield, with Rev Jerome GERUM officiating. Music was provided by organist Helen Brinkmann and vocalists John F BINDER and James W ECKES. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery where military rites were conducted by American Legion Post 54. Pallbearers were Tim VICK, Scott BERG, Ryan McDONALD, Jon McDONALD, Jim HLAVAC, William SUMNERS and Jerald BOHMAN. Mr BOULIEU was born January 17, 1918 in Marshfield to Lucille BOULIEU. He attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and Willard D. Purdy Junior High School. He entered the U.S. Army on November 7, 1939, and went overseas to Iceland on Feb 18, 1942, where he was stationed for 20 1/2 months. His anti-aircraft artillery unit followed frontline troops into Normandy and William was kept busy working as an artillery mechanic. He was honorably discharged as a T4 Sargeant in May 1945. He married Wilma C. PLOOG in Marshfield on June 30, 1945. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this past June. He worked for Lloyd L. Felker Company, delivering fuel oil and later worked for the Marshfield street department where he took care of the city parks and Wildwood Zoo. Bill retired from the city after 20 years of service on january 17, 1983. Bill was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church. He is survived by his wife, Wilma BOULIEU, three daughters and one son, Sharon (Jack) MCDONALD of Pittsville, Peggy VICK of Marshfield, Linda (Keith) REINEMAN of Schofield, and Ron (Betty) BOULIEU of Marshfield; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his half-sister, Janet (Tom) WILLIAMS of Menomonee Falls. He was predeceased by his mother.
